The Court of Appeal dismissed a revision petition filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa seeking a ruling that the conspiracy charge in a money laundering case before the Colombo High Court cannot be maintained. The bench of Justices Amal Ranaraja and Dr. Sumudu Premachandra delivered the decision; News 1st reported that the Attorney General's case involves alleged unverifiable deposits of more than Rs. 59 million into three private fixed deposit accounts between 2009 and 2013.
