Skeletal remains suspected to belong to Ven. Bambaragala Abayawansa Thera, who had been missing for several months from the Debaragala Forest Hermitage, were found in a dense forest about two kilometres from the monastery. Hiru News reported that villagers searching for honey found the remains and informed the Kappeetiyawa Arana Vihara, after which Kuchchaveli Police inspected the site on July 4. Police identified the remains based on spectacles, medicines and robe fragments, while the Trincomalee Acting Magistrate inspected the location and directed police to submit a report.hirunews
