Newswire, citing the Sunday Times, reported that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe after Rajapakshe's son was arrested by CIABOC. Wickremesinghe reportedly said due process had been followed in the detention of Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, alias Harak Kata, during his presidency and rejected claims that Rajapakshe had improperly protected him, while CIABOC has told court it is also investigating Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.newswire
