Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya met the chairperson and commissioners of Sri Lanka’s independent National Women’s Commission at Temple Trees on July 4. The commission briefed her on implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Act No. 37 of 2024, while the Prime Minister commended its work on women’s rights, gender equality and women’s empowerment.
