The Court of Appeal has fixed August 6 for argument in former parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra’s appeal against her conviction and three-year prison sentence over a 2015 abduction case. She is seeking to overturn the Colombo High Court judgment that found her guilty on 18 counts linked to the abduction, assault and intimidation of Amila Priyankara in Dematagoda.
