Kadawatha Police are investigating a sharp-weapon attack in Ihala Biyanwila on July 4 that left one person dead and another injured. Hiru News reported that both victims were admitted to emergency care at Ragama Hospital, where one of them, a 54-year-old resident of Kadawatha, died. Preliminary inquiries indicate the attack followed a confrontation between the victim and two others at his brother's birthday party; one suspect has been arrested and police are searching for the second.
