23-year-old arrested over alleged Rs. 4.3 mln online scam

Police arrested a 23-year-old Beruwala resident over an alleged online financial scam in which a victim was defrauded of more than Rs. 4.38 million.

The North Western Province Unit of the Computer Crime Investigation Division made the arrest after receiving a complaint, and investigators say the suspect contacted victims through Facebook and Telegram. Police said further investigations are continuing.english +3
