The National Dengue Control Unit said Sri Lanka has recorded 59,638 dengue cases so far this year, with June reporting the highest monthly total at 21,546 infections. It said 4,251 cases were reported in the first four days of July, while the Western Province accounted for 31,249 cases, followed by the Southern Province with 9,507 and Sabaragamuwa with 5,172.
