Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said Sri Lanka is considering a WHO-approved dengue vaccine and the Wolbachia mosquito control method as part of its response to dengue. Officials said 52.5 percent of cases are from the Western Province and that 61,060 cases and 39 dengue-related deaths have been reported so far in 2026.newsfirst +2
