A special dengue eradication programme covering 23 high-risk MOH divisions in the Western Province began on July 5 under the Clean Sri Lanka programme on behalf of the Presidential Secretariat. The National Dengue Control Unit said the targeted divisions account for 45 percent of reported dengue cases, with 58,810 cases and 39 deaths recorded islandwide so far this year.hirunews +3
