The government has revised mandatory front-of-pack sugar labelling rules for liquid food products, lowering the threshold for red-logo warnings from more than 11 grams to more than 8 grams of sugar per 100 millilitres. Daily FT reported that the amended Health Ministry regulations also set the amber category at 2.5 to 8 grams per 100 millilitres and allow alternative ways to display the colour-coded symbols.
