Deputy Health Minister Hansaka Wijemuni said dengue cases have risen to around 2,300, with unplanned construction activities creating mosquito breeding grounds. Speaking during a visit to Nawalapitiya District General Hospital, he also said hospital environments must be kept clean and that a CT scanner would be provided to the hospital by the end of next month.
