The Education Ministry has introduced new technology-based measures to improve textbook procurement, warehousing, distribution and inventory control. Officials told COPA that a computerized system now gathers real-time school data on enrolment, stock and reusable books, while sales outlets have been networked and e-Thaksalawa is being upgraded with AI technology. The committee also reviewed older printing, distribution and financial management issues, including an alleged Rs. 212 million irregularity now under CIABOC investigation.
