Sri Lanka and China EXIM Bank aim to complete a revised financing agreement by August to restart Section I of the Central Expressway Project from Kadawatha to Mirigama. The Government says the 37.09 km section, which had reached about 20.26% physical progress before funding stalled after the 2022 debt moratorium, could be completed within two years once work resumes.
