Local gold prices slightly down despite global rise

Daily Mirror reported that the global price of an ounce of gold rose 1.52 percent from the previous day to US $4,175.07, while the local price of a pound of 24-carat gold fell from Rs. 386,000 to Rs. 384,000. The association also said the price of a pound of 22-carat gold dropped from Rs. 355,100 to Rs. 353,300.
