The Central Bank of Sri Lanka cancelled Nation Lanka Finance PLC's finance business licence effective July 3 and said the company will be wound up under the Banking (Special Provisions) Act. CBSL said insured depositors will be compensated up to Rs. 1.1 million per depositor through the Sri Lanka Deposit Insurance Scheme, covering full settlement for about 99.1% of depositors.
